Beginning with abstract seascapes and landscapes, her style evolved into richly textured compositions where form and movement emerge naturally through layered application and expressive knife work.

Embracing a more abstract direction also marked a personal milestone, inspiring her to proudly reclaim her maiden name as a tribute to her upbringing under the guidance of her father, artist Pieter Millard.
