Colours at sunset over the ocean

ABOUT THE ARTIST: INA MILLARD – EKSTEEN

The Artist, Ina’s abstract landscapes reflect her deep love of colour and her intuitive use of the palette knife.

Beginning with abstract seascapes and landscapes, her style evolved into richly textured compositions where form and movement emerge naturally through layered application and expressive knife work.

Her dynamic technique creates a sense of rhythm and energy, allowing each piece to unfold with spontaneity and depth.

Embracing a more abstract direction also marked a personal milestone, inspiring her to proudly reclaim her maiden name as a tribute to her upbringing under the guidance of her father, artist Pieter Millard.

His influence instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for colour, form, and artistic expression, which continues to shape her work today.
