ABOUT THE ARTIST – JUANETTE MENDEROI
Juanette Menderoi is a multi-faceted artist born in Randfontein, Gauteng. Her passion for art has begun as a little girl always drawing and playing around with colour.
Juanette, her husband and four children moved from Pretoria to Robertson in 2017 to enjoy a quality lifestyle and to be close to the beauty of the Cape Winelands and mountains that have always spoken deeply to her artist soul.
Inspired by Van Gogh’s fearless, bold use of colour and texture, she has always strived to find and establish her own voice. Her themes vary between birds, still life, seascapes, beautiful ceramic and her paintings often feature the feathered little creatures somewhere. Birds are some of her favourite objects and reminder of who the real Creator and Provider is.
She has a distinct impressionistic style and she enjoys creating thick oil impasto work with a palette knife. She is inspired by rich colour, texture and light. She aims to bring joy and beauty through her art in a sometimes not so kind world. As her art career evolved, her style and signature has become instantly recognisable and has filled many homes and offices over the years.
Juanette has sold more than 1,000 paintings in the last 6 years and enjoys both local and international support. Her work can be seen throughout many galleries in SA and she has been part of many group exhibitions as well as a few very successful solo exhibitions.
“God has spoiled me with an evolving talent and career I could only have dreamt of… Art has been my biggest mentor in life. May I never feel I have arrived…”
