About Riesa Maree

Art has been a lifelong passion for Riesa Maree, woven into her personal journey and professional path from an early age. Her creative development was shaped through formal training with renowned artist Pieter Millard at Hartbeespoort Dam in the North West, where she honed her creative skills and artistic voice over several years.

In 2014, Riesa relocated to Hermanus, where she continued her artistic exploration under the guidance of celebrated artist Jeandré Mariners. Her work is inspired by nature’s beauty, with a deep love for painting seascapes and floral compositions.

Riesa creates from a place of personal reflection and emotional resonance, allowing each canvas to become a unique expression of her inner world. Her art captures not only the essence of the South African landscape but also the heartfelt inspiration behind each brushstroke.
