Since embarking on his professional artistic journey in 1983, Hennie has become a celebrated figure in South African art. Hennie captures the essence of rural life, portraying farm laborers harvesting wheat, fruit pickers gathering crops, and fynbos pickers collecting indigenous flowers. He also brings to life the vibrant scenes of fisher folk sorting their catch, all set against the backdrop of the South African landscape.
